I second the Lighthouse. Easy walk to Old Town. Older Property, but nice.

If you like craft beer, stop at the Pelican Pub in Pacific City - Pelican Pub & Brewery - Oregon Coast » Pacific City, OR | Your Little Beach Town

and the Rogue brewpub in Newport: Rogue Ales.

Go just a little bit further than Newport. The cliffs and coastline are spectacular for a bit if you go just a little further.

Take some warm clothes, because there will be wind coming off the ocean.. Stop at overlooks and viewpoints for the spectacular views.

Most of the state parks have day use areas with beautiful trails and views. Take some water resistant hiking boots if you are going to walk the trails.

You can make reservations at the state park campgrounds. Even this time of year, I suggest reservations. Spaces should be available, but why risk it?

And please, believe the warning signs about the sneaker waves and rollers. Wouldn't want to lose you.
