Default Does Grants Pass have tornadoes?

I read this from Grants Pass vistors guide on the net. If so when was the last time and how bad were they. How is the housing market in Grants Pass, it appears they have a low inventory with older homes mainly on the market?
Thank you.

Grants Pass does not have tornadoes. I'm a native Oregonian (I'm 47) and we've never had a tornado since I've been alive. There was a freak tornado in Vancouver, Washington back in the 70's. If there's any appreciable windstorms, they take place on the Oregon Coast during the winter.

As for housing, Grants Pass is growing at a steady clip and you can find pretty much anything. There's a lot of wonderful older homes, there's tract homes in subdivisions and there's a lot of upscale homes being built. GP attracts a lot of people from California as does most of Southern Oregon because it's so accessible via I-5. There's a lot of equity refugees from the Bay Area and Los Angeles. Downtown GP is very quaint with tons of antique stores and restaurants and boutiques. There's boat rides on the Rogue and tons of outdoor activities.

Hope this helps. Welcome to Oregon!!

There are great deals on property and homes in Grants Pass right now. It should even be better by February. Prices and quality like this won't be back unless there is a global recession/depression brought on by the new political shift.

You are right Freedom; real estate in Grants Pass is coming down slowly. Some of the newer homes look abandoned. One day they were all busy with building and the next day, work came to a screeching halt. Interestingly, some of the newer homes have not been reduced. Sellers are not looking very motivated to me. I asked for a showing on a house and that had a little guesthouse that was so full of junk they couldn’t film it. Not going unnoticed is cost cutting. The devil is in the eye for details like knobs on cabinets, bigger ceiling fans, better switches, floor coverings, and bigger garages. Quality should not have to start at $650,000.
