Make sure you walk the "Rim Promenade" along the lake from the Rim Village to Crater Lake Lodge. Many great view points. Rim Village Historic District - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Here is a picture I took last month when the lake seemed even bluer than what I remembered from before:

It's a good idea not to walk too close to the edge. Someone fell over before.

Crater Lake is very beautiful. Have a Wonderful Adventure...

Right off hwy 62, Lost Creek Lake has the Cole M. Rivers fish hatchery, which is pretty COOL

On the left by Union Creek I like to look at the Rough part of the Rogue River. Beautiful Chipmunkees live right by thar.

They have reel good soft icecream cones on side of the hwy, good pie too.

You will not be alone. I saw on the news that lots of folks who postponed their trip due to the government shutdown will be heading up there. So if you plan to stay at any place that will need reservations, be sure to phone ahead. Have a safe trip, this is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Enjoy.
