we are relocating and have recently checked out Washington and loved it, but feel that Oregon would suit us better with the climate. I have been researching Salem, keizer, and that area, but just want opinions on areas with alot of plumbing jobs. Not being from the area it is hard to pick an area that is best for us. We like nice, down to earth people with a relaxed atmosphere. somewhere we can feel comfortable. Low crime, and nice landscaping helps. We do not have any young kids and enjoy watching sports and farmers markets.

Well the more populated the area, the more jobs it will have. I don't think you will find a lot of plumbing jobs anywhere. If you want to do residential plumbing, then I would call the local companies to see who is hiring.

For new construction plumbing, I know a plumber who works Eugene, Salem, Portland, Vancouver WA - I-5 corridor.

Seems to me Salem would be centrally located to all that.

Most plumbers do that except for the ones that do service calls.

You can check with the Oregon State Employment department for jobs throughout Oregon that are requesting Journeyman Plummers.

Here's and example I just pulled from their listings: Employment Department Job Listings
