Forgetmenots& Roses is on a distinguished road
I grew up in the Columbia Gorge (Cascade Locks) and have lived in Lagrande where I attended Eastern Oregon College (university), Portland, and Springfield. I have lived all over Washington as well and currently in Alaska. I have researched and researched areas to move to in Oregon and to me Roseburg would be my ideal. I don't care for big cities (I lived in Anchorage) and much similiar to Portland except the rain, it just snows must of the year! The cost of living in Oregon is much cheaper than Alaska believe me! Produce is much nicer too! I don't mind the rain in Oregon. I've lived in Alaska 11 years now and I'll take a winter of rain over 8 months of snow anytime! Oregon driver's can't be any worse than they are in Alaska! I know it's not utopia by anymeans anywhere these days, but I just want a country feel, a place I can feel safe, a place to ride a bicycle and not come upon a moose or a bear or a drunken rednecked Alaskan driver! Give me Oregon anyday! I look forward to good produce again and going to the Oregon coast!
