Default Booming parts of Oregon?

We were thinking of moving to Bend but it appears it will be at least a couple years before it gets back on track. Are there any other towns in Oregon that are really booming now or look like they are about to? I'm an architect & need a place that's growing while still being a nice place to live...

Nothing, to my knowledge, is booming in Oregon. I'm not sure how you define booming, but real estate has slowed significantly in Oregon as the rest of the country. Last stats showed appreciation around 3%, but that average will go down with many builders dropping prices.

I don't know if you are a residential or commercial architect, but Salem is spending a lot of money on revialization projects for downtown. There are several large projects going in, and 13 acres of prime downtown real estate, that was a Boise Cascade plant on the Willamette river, is going to be developed into something. It was just sold this fall.

Portland is still a great place to live, but the pace of growth has slowed there as well. While I would not call Seattle booming, it still has nice growth numbers.

Bend would be the only I would consider "Booming" at least population wise. There are still positives to Bend like being close to the Mountains. I myself am going to probably move to the Medford/Ashland area, mainly cause I can play in the rivers in the summer and snowboard in the mountains (Mnt. Ashland, Shasta, Etc) in the Winter.
