Default Anybody Get Snow?

We just had a tiny bit of snow late last night here on the coast. It melted away soon. The tmperatures were not below freezing so there's no way snow would stay.
I saw something on the news last night that Eugene was getting some snow. Where ever you are in Oregon do you have snow? How much??

About 6" currently on the ground, but much more snow has fallen. Fortunately, it's the light fluffy stuff that just sublimates away. I'm up around 4,600'.

I just got home from Eugene and as of earlier today, there wasn't any snow there. From Eugene all the way down to Medford was nothing but pouring rain, no breaks. Going through 140 was a white out, or close to it.

Klamath Falls got 4-6 inches of new snow it looks like. Another 5-8 inches tomorrow. When will it end?

Winter precipitation in the Rogue Valley typically comes in the form of light rain. It does snow from time to time during cold snaps. But snow is a rather uncommon occurrence and does not stick, so it isn't really possible to predict whether or not there will be snow on any given day of the year. It's a bit like asking if Buffalo, NY will get hail for the Fourth of July -- it could happen, but there's no reason to expect it. During a warmer winter there will be no snowfall at all in the valley.

Over on the high desert, snowy side of the Cascades, we don't reliably have snow for Christmas, either. You'd have to go up into the mountains proper for that.

Light snowfall on and off all day today in north Portland. After moving here from Ohio, my mindset is "if I want snow, I'll drive to it". Which is quite nice, considering Timberline is almost exactly an hour away from my house (weather permitting).
