crime is relative---check out city-data for some of the stats----some areas on the coast have a higher crime rate than others---coast==rain and fog and wind but if you moved in land a few miles you could have minimal and the commute would be very minor

yeah......... but wait!!! these are some pics I took last night. bout 10 min. from my house, between about 6-7pm. After another GLORIOUS day here!
no rain...no fog...not overcast....just a slight breeze

and the last shot, w/the beach, those skies arent overcast, it was getting dark and thats how it came across on my photo....weird, but whatever.
