I live in Medford and I was wondering if anyone can help me chose which hospital is better- Rogue Valley Medical Center or Providence Medford . I just found out that I am pregnant and need to find an OB/gyn. I also need to find a pediatrician for my 18 month old son. I live right behind RVMCso that will be very convenient. I looked up the websites of the 2 hospitals and the one of Providence seemed more friendly/inviting. I would think that both would be quite competent but was hoping to hear personal feedbacks or more information regarding both hospitals.

Thanks for any info.

I would say go to Rogue Valley Medical Center. I have heard many good things about them.

Default You might check...

There are several websites that show hospital ratings...most are free. One I found is The Leapfrog Group for Patient Safety but if you google you will find a few. They also show doctors ratings---one you can add your opinions also. If all else fails--go visit each center and see what kind of reception you get. They should be happy to give you all the info you want---
Good luck with the baby!

Visiting both is a good idea and would help you see which you liked better. My opinion is RVMC, I had a friend take his daughter who was under 2 to providence and they said she just had a cold and sent her home, she was back there 3 times for the coughing and breathing problems and each time they sent her home and we told them to take her to RVMC and they found out she had pnemonia (sp?) and the rsv virus.

Question for any White City Dom vets out there:

My older brother is a Nam Vet and I am tring to help him get in a domicilliary since he lost his job in Portland. DO you guys like the White City dom? I heard it was great. Is there room there now, or is it full? How should he apply for it? Just walk in? Thanks alot for your time--I appreciate it!
