Welll, both places have great outdoors, both have young populations, both use speech therapists, neither is a big city...so, you need to come up with some other factors that separate the two locations. For example, Eugene is right next to Springfield and so between the two of them, you have a larger city space than Bend by far. Eugene is only an hour and a half's drive from the ocean. It rains in Eugene ( a lot sometimes). Eugene probably has more activities for people in your age group. Eugene has more pollution. Eugene is greener and has deep, rich forests nearby. Bend is more expensive. Bend is much drier but also colder in the winter and hotter in the summer. Bend is about 4 1/2 hours from the ocean. Bend is closer to skiing and rock climbing than Eugene. Bend is in the high desert so has juniper trees and ponderosa pines and is much less green than Eugene. Maybe these will help you and if not, ask about things that are important to you in making your decision on what place might be best.

If you are going to exhume several long-dead posts to respond, could you actually say WHY you are such a Brookings booster? One word answers don't help anyone.
