I know they have sports teams in Roseburg but that's about all I knuow about.

The area in and around Roseburg looks to be good for gardening. I've seen vegie gardens there. The growing season shold be longer than Idaho.

Roseburg can get a little snow but driving should be no problem. Most years there's not much snow. When I have been there I have noticed a fair amount of older people as well as younger people.
