Maybe not right now. I don't have any lights in my part of town.

I just saw online in the world that the lights were cancelled...not surprising. lol but I think about them all strung up all over the place...all that hard work that went into it and I sure hope its all okay!
Im right on the bay couple miles from Charleston, and its fairly calm here now. We have had power pretty much all day/night long. - looks like its over.- - sure was a heck of a challenge finding somewhere that was open to go get dinner though! LOL - did you see Walmart? That was funky - cant even imagine the chaos that it mustve been when THOSE lights went out! Betcha a lot of people got some pretty good "deals" tonight!

Well it's been one heck of a day as far as electricity is concerned. Perhaps they'll have the Christmas lights back on tomorrow.

Yippie! My electricty is back on finally. It was out from 5pm to after midnight. Oh no it just blinked. I hope it stays on.

Ah power outages... another thing I'm not accustomed to. Guess I'll be stocking up on flashlights batteries and candles! Good to know! I heard about that storm. I hope everyone is okay.

Actually Des Demona, we have a generator but haven't had to use it in 2 years. And speaking of flashlights with batteries, a good Christmas Stocking Stuffer would be one of those crank type LED bulb flashlights----no batteries required. I really like mine.

we have a cool flashlight, keep it plugged in at all times and it carries a heck of a charge! Plus, it has 3 different levels of light, a strobe, and an emergency red strobe too. - but the only times its been in use is when weve been playing with it and when hubby had to go under the house. We never lost power (here at the house) for more than a few seconds throughout the entire ordeal! But ya, get yourself some backup stuff, (including water/food doesnt require can opener/cooking) and warm blankies for if the electricity does go out. Always better safe then sorry!!
Tiff
btw, careful w/the candles, a couple in Seaside just lost their lives in a fire they think was due to candle use during the storm.
