Default Looking for a inexpensive rent!
Hi, I am knew to the board.
I hoping maybe some of you can help me with some Ok areas that are inexpensive rent areas.
I heard about staying away from the North East or Northern part of Salem.
and staying more in the southern or south eastern part.
Is it possible to get a small apartment for 500.00 with utilities included?
Also I have 2 small dogs. I am on disability right know so I am limited on what I can spend.
I look forward to any suggestions and help.

A tough one, but a few years ago I lived in a very nice one bedroom apartment in Keizer. Not the best part of Salem, but I had no issues. I can't remember the name of the place, but it was close the SW corner of Cherry Street off River Road. It was the only apartment place with just 1 story.

When I look on craigs list and on rent.com the rents offered in Salem seem to be in your price range. There are several on craigs list right now that are showing for less than 500 and remained when I filtered for dogs allowed.

I lived there for 2 years and paid $375. I do not know about pets. They were small 1 bedroom units and there is a laundry facility. The owner was a very nice man.

It was the Fir Knoll Apartments. At that time the telephone number was 503-393-3921.
