Smile moving to Oregon!!!

I love OREGON!!! I am doing my homework on schools for my kids; I have two kids (11 & 5 ) and I am looking for a good neighborhood with good schools. I will bring my two kids, my education, and my love for the LORD to this beautifull state. Any suggestions on locations will be greatly appreciated.

Anna

Well, Oregon is a large state with a lot of school districts. Also, it greatly depends on what you may want in a school.

Probably the best schools in Oregon are just across the river in Vancouver, WA in the Hearthwood area. But you wanted Oregon.

West Linn has a very solid tradition of good schools. So does Ashland & Medford. The Portland city schools have a tradition of very poor educations and some are on a glide path to being closed if they do not improve. Gresham is becoming gang land, so I don't think that would be a very good choice. The Bend/Redmond area is nice and I hear fairly good things about those schools.

Could you be a bit more specific.

Gresham is becoming gang land,,,OH no...I was looking into that city, the schools were okay. But I have an 11 yr. old boy whom is more concervative than I am. So that is defently a good feedback. I was looking into Herminston ..( I have an aunt who lives there) and I have to say; I was very impress. The only thing now is to check out the jobs. I have a solid AP/AR billing and collections background and need to know the demand for my services. I like Vancouver a lot and I am also looking into schools there. I pray that I get situated in a good place to raise my kids. I will look into the cities you mentioned. I really appreacited....thank you so much.

God Bless

Hermiston is pretty good. So is LaGrande. LaGrande is a beautiful place to live. Although it's far from by beloved central Oregon coast, it's a really nice place.
