Default sweet home real estate

Looking around the Willamette valley, I couldn't help notice that Sweet Home's real estate values were lower than most. Anyone have any input on that? Reasons why? Thanks

Some places are just going to be lower priced than others. Sweet Home is off the i-5 a few miles. In Other words off the main route in that area of Oregon. It's kind of a small town so probably not many jobs are there. People who live there will need to drive a ways to find work.

If you are intereted in the area I'd suggest a trip to check it out.

Like already stated, Sweet Home is far enough away from the larger towns that it's a bit isolated so housing will be a bit cheaper. Also, since it has a very high hispanic & russian population it is not a high income area and that also keeps real estate prices a bit more reasonable as it's hard for immegrants to find good paying jobs for a while.

Default thanks people

thanks for the replies. how's the crime? and drug problem more than average?
any thoughts? this city-data shows the crime rate a bit higher. can anyone expand on that? i understand that sweet home is a wee bit off the beaten track, but not that far to make it uncommutable. i spent quite some time in wyoming. now that could make for some long commutes.
