Default heard on news

Listening to news last night,Alaska and Oregon have highest # of sex offenders per population 1 to every 187 people.Don't see how that can be true.We were giggling over the fact we have to be #1 for cops/former cops. charged as sexual predators.Horrible thing to giggle over but we have so few police here in Lane County and they keep being convicted as sex offenders.Last one I heard of was in Florence. I truly wonder how anybody comes up with statistics of any kind-there are so many agencies contradicting each other.

That is true nocoldiron... someone posted on the Washington state boards that Seattle was listed as among the top ten cleanest cities of it's size... but to us it smells really badly and is always really dirty-looking with trash and gunk everywhere...

I guess I just think it's fun when something positive is put out there about a place you love (in this case - Oregon!)... you just want to share it...

I would imagine a lot of these lists are really put together by real estate people... or people trying to boost their economies... no one ever really checks whether these studies are authentic, do they? And how would you, even if you did have the time?
