Asinas is on a distinguished road
All those pictures of Newport...I'm so homesick now! (I moved to Ohio to meet my future in laws..) Thank you for posting your beautiful pictures. I reaallly need to go back to Oregon sometime soon, I wish I could make it for the 4th of July so I can see my sister's kids.

Those pictures are of such a good quality, the sand...the soft gentle waves, even that hazy sky and Grey horizon that blends perfectly into the water in some of them. Its just how I remembered the coast! Now I can even smell the salty air. Thank you again, I think I might show these to my 'bunny' when he wakes up, he was missing Oregon too lately.

Yeah, its just that i've seen ALL these photos on San Diego, LA, Florida, even Oklahoma, and I wonder why such a place like Oregon wouldn't have any more people posting their pictures?

Well, I don't really know. I've wondered that myself, and I can't explain it to you. You have some very nice shots of Portland. Thought you were originally asking about eastern Oregon - am I remember that correctly?

When I get a day off here soon, I will head out to the Gorge and try to get some decent pics for you...no guarantee on the quality though (I'm not kidding!). I haven't forgotten you!!

Yeah, but I guess I'll have to take what I can get.

This thread is for anyone interested in the beauty of Oregon, not just me.

I'm not from Newport, I'm from the valley actually. My parents and I often went to the coast since it was nearby and would make a whole day of it. (I prefer Lincoln City to Newport actually, The smell of the docks make me a little sick now and again, but it is a beautiful city with a lot to do and see despite the initial discomfort.) I lived less then an hour away from the coast. (Like 30-45 minutes. Sometimes though it could take a few hours if the traffic was backed up on weekends.)

If I was at home I might of been able to post some wonderful pictures of my own locale city (a tiny town called Willamina.) Or of the country side that surrounds the small town. The only pictures I have now, outside are pictures of me. It dosen't show very much of the scenery though. Sorry.
