I'm moving to Corvallis, female, not a student, but working at OSU. There is house I can rent by 10th and Fremont (behind Carls Jr) or an apartment at Creekside or Timberhill. I don't like living in an apartment complex but the area around 10th and Fremont doesn't look that great and I don't want a party place. Any advice from locals would help please. Thanks

I don't recommend anywhere near 10th and Fremont. Going north from there it doesn't get any better on Highland. Try Witham Hill Oaks. They have single level units.

I lived in Creekside apts and watched 9/11 unfold in my living room there. Long time ago now...That's pretty far out there but a decent enough area. Walkable to safeway and not much else. Decent bike path access and parks nearby.
