There are some nice properties for sale around Toledo, but I've heard some concerns about pollution from the GP mill.

Does anyone have any information about the air quality in the Toledo area?

Thanks in advance!

The only issue with the mill that I've noticed is that it is lit up bright as day at night, so I wouldn't want to live close enough for light pollution to bother me.

I've never noticed any smell.

Toledo tends to be warmer and sunnier by about 10 degrees than it is right on the coast. For such a tiny place it has good restaurants and good activities.

If you get close to the mill, it smells kind of bad.
Otherwise you are probably OK depending on wind direction.
I would go there personally and ask around.

Source of smell verification:

I was there last week from Tuesday through Thursday and really didn't notice a thing until I got close to the mill.

But then again it's summer, with no real cloud cover or fog hanging over the town keeping the stank in.

Thanks, Oregonwoodsmoke. I wouldn't have thought about light pollution.

And thanks for the insight on the smell, pdxMike. Good point that it's probably different depending on the weather and time of year.

Anyone else?
