Dry, tad windy, wheat and cherrie farming; home prices on the rise (Google is coming to town), nice (minor moonscape) scenery, tough rental market, 1.5 hrs to PDX. close to skiing (1hr) wind surfing (5 min - 1 hr) Jr College, OR State Vet home, Fairgrounds, a BIG river..., close to "deschutes river" Steelhead / salmon / rafting / wilderness. For a cheaper place, ez commute, check out Dufur, and Tie Valley.
