Why was diesel exempted from the law? Also, why are motorcycles exempt? This seems very fishy.
Anyone know?

Calm down girl!! I love having someone pump my gas. It's nice. Especially in Oregon when it's rainy and lousy, and you just want to be lazy. I used to live in Oregon and I actually miss that aspect of it. Once you get used to it it's actually quite nice. And I knew some kids who got jobs at gas stations pumping gas and they couldn't get jobs anywhere else so they were grateful that the jobs were available.
Hmm but what we should do is have gardens and produce ethanol at home so we can create our own fuel. Lots of people in Oregon have ELECTRIC cars now too, so if you copy all of them you wont even need a stupid gas station. Gas is the stupidest thing ever, it has only caused problems and it's completely unnecessary when it comes to cars they were originally designed to run on ALCOHOL but NOOOO the government wanted control over the auto industry so they created cars that ran on gasoline. Arsseholes!!!!!!!

I'd rather see people pumping our gas for us instead of standing at the corner asking for a handout.

Diesel has been traditionally a truckers fuel. They have as much as 200 gals. to fill.
Do you want to spill gas on someone's Harley?

I am thinking of moving to Oregon and love the idea of someone else pumping my gas. Just the other day I was on my way to an appt. and OMG I spilled gas on my hand while pumping gas. I hate standing out in severe wind and rain and getting soaked. I think people i Oregon are so lucky and they know it, which is why they keep the law!

Oregon is a state where we can put almost anything on the ballot, and vote on it. As we continue to do this, apparently it's what the majority of Oregonians (who vote) want! Majority (again, voting) rules here. Don't like it? Don't move here. Otherwise welcome to Oregon and let someone else pump your gas, it's really no big deal.
