I am curious on to where the good hunting regions are located in Oregon. I know you have vast wildlife including bear, elk, deer, antelope, turkeys, pheasants, etc. But I am just looking to where the good hunting regions are?? I am thinking of relocating to an area near Bend OR and am curious on hunting opportunities in the surronding areas?? Also with fishing do the salmon run up the Deschutes river and are there many lakes on the eastern side of OR that will be sufficient for both recreation and fishing?? Thank you ahead of time!

Salmon fishing is usually in the Columbia and coastal rivers. The are issues with the salmon run which are too complex for this discussion. Trout is what you will find in the inland rivers and lakes.

Bear hunting? Turkey? Maybe so but that is new to me.

Log on to the Oregon Fish and Wildlife web page for info about hunting and fishing.

Yes to all. Deschutes has great trout, steelhead and salmon fishing and Bend is a mecca for high lakes, a lot of them still iced over. Hunting not much around Bend unless you own it.

Elk coastal range some Cascade Range and NE 1/4 portion.
Antelope SE portion of state high desert.
Turkey SW portion.
Pheasants Willamette valley and central. Don't forget Chukar central and eastern canyons good eating, shooting and work out.
