We are considering moving back to Oregon and were wondering what it's like out there to homeschool. We had such a bad experience with the public school system when we lived there before. Our current state is very lax on homeschooling requirements (though my husband and I are very strict on our curriculum).
Just wondering what any homeschooling folks thought about Oregon's regulations regarding such. Thanks for the input beforehand! ![]() |

I'm not sure how many homeschoolers we have on this forum. I can tell you there are a lot here in Oregon.
Here are the state rules Home Schooling - Oregon Department of Education and you might want to consider the Oregon Connections Academy. You can enroll in it from any county in Oregon and it is a public charter school. It is an online school for home schooling parents so you have some teacher support if you want it as well as the complete curriculum and materials. Connections Academy - Welcome to Oregon Connections Academy I have friends who do traditional home schooling and one friend who does the Connections Academy. They are both happy with their choices. |
