Default Moving to Ontario Oregon

What is it like? Are any of you here from there or near there lol. Looking to meet new people.....make new friends my own age. What is the rent like? I heard it was hard to find a place to live. Are rental apartments or houses scarce? I need all the info I can get. I think I will be making my way there in August.

What is "your own age?" Ontario is not a very big town. You'll probably end up going to Boise for typical "urban"-type things.

Hi,

I just turned 40. I currently live in La Grande, which isn't a very big town either. I looked it up on wilkipedia and the population is fairly the same. I have lived here for a year, and basically the only people my husband and I have met are a few of his co-workers who sadly turned out not to be so nice people. I have found that people kind of stick to themselves and don't seem to like leaving outsiders into their lives. It has been a very strange experience over all. I am hoping this next venture into a different part of Oregon will bring happier times with friends included. Thanks for your response.
