Do All Or Any Of You Who Have Voiced An Opinion About The Southern Oregon Coast Actually Live Here? In My Opinion It's The People Who Make The Community~not The Ammenities. After All, Those Big City Ammenities Don't Do Anybody Any Good If You Need A Friend. The Folks In Port Orford Are The Kind Of People Who Look Out For You And Yours. It's A Place That You Can Leave Your Home And Car Unlocked, You Don't Have To Look Over Your Back If Your Walking Home At Dusk Nor Do You Have To Worry About Your Children Returning Home From School. They Operate On The Barter System And In This Day And Age, That's As Much Of An Ammenity As You Can Get! So Next Time You're Ever Driving Through, Get Out Of Your Car And Meet Some Of The People. Don't Base You Opinion Of A Town By The Condition Of The Highway Leading In And Out Of It. C'mon Now, Who Does That?

Sherrill has put everything in it's most basic form. That's what I love about the Oregon Coast. I felt at home and comfortable the very first time I stopped in Gold Beach. The people were open and .....Just open. No hidden agendas. No accusatory glances. No snubs or snobbery.
Welcomed into the local breakfast restaraunt like a local. And have become recognised as an occasional local because I'm in town so much.
It's a good feeling. I've found that same attitude in Port Orford and all up and down the coast.
