You comments on Northern Idaho paint an erroneous picture. Speaking for our experience in Sandpoint, what we enjoy more than anything else is that not only are people are free to choose the lifestyle they seek, but that I find that people respect that others have the freedom to make those choices. Live and let live. As long as there is sufficient distance and space between folks I see incredible tolerance for many deeply personal beliefs and choices.

I just don't understand all the people who are saying that residents of La Grande are rude. I have lived here for more than two years and that has just not been my experience. I find La Grande to be a friendly town - but then I am an older woman who just sort of blends in so maybe that is why I have never encountered any rude people.
