Default Hospital in Reedsport?

I would like to know about the Lower Umqua Hospital.

How big is it, how many doctors, clinics, employees, and what "level" quality is it?

How are the employees there? Are they happy or discontent? What kind of service level or reputation does it have? Do they have trouble getting qualified help?

If you worked there, could you easily live in Coos Bay? Where else would be good and affordable?

Hi esya. I just saw your Reedsport post while looking for another in which to say...."Reedsport? I didn't know Reedsport was now on the Oregon Road Cams". Good idea for anyone not local who is wanting to check the weather.

Anyways about the Hospital, I've never been to that hospital but I have heard from Reedsport locals how their emergency room is FAST....especially compared to the "3-day-wait" at the Bay Area Hospital emergency room. I do know it's a much smaller hospital than the Bay Area Hospital. Maybe that's the reason for the quickness and the fact that it's in the SandDunes area so it's accustomed to quick responses. The minor dunes injuries are usually treated and stabilized at that Hospital and then air lifted north to the larger facilities. I recently saw where North Bend now has additional air response medical team service, other than the Coast Guard, which can get someone up to Portland in 18 minutes. Hmm. Nice.
