Default Trees, grass and elbow room on a budget

I am seriously thinking of moving my family to So. Oregon and am looking for trees, grass and elbow room... perhaps like Keno or Bonanza. I am retired(so jobs are not a problem at this time) but I have 2 boys age 5 and 2 who I would rather not grow up in the city. Also retired means limited budget unfortunately. ANYBODY HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS??

Oregon has a lot of small towns. Affordable means looking in the eastern part of the state (beyond the Cascade mountains). You'll get some snow over there. How much will depend on the elevation. Good luck searching for the right place!

Bonanza is a nice area about 25 miles from Klamath Falls. There are homes and land for sale in that area that might interest you (see KFalls or Bonanza Realty sites.) Go for a visit if you can. We did and loved it.

Have you taken a look at Oakridge? We are still on the west side of the Cascades, but housing is quite affordable. A great climate as well, "above the fog line and below the snow line". We have 3 new sub-divisions going in if you're looking to buy a home. We've built several homes in the past few years for folks moving in from out of the area and they tell us that they didn't know a place like this existed anymore. We'd be happy to show you around.
