Default Satellite TV in Oregon

Hi,

Kind of a random question...I'm moving my family to Corvallis in a couple of weeks. We are in the process of squaring away our utilities. How is satellite TV (Dish network, etc) in Oregon? Is the weather an issue at all?

Thanks, in advance, for your help!!

You made me laugh....sorry....Directv and Dish both work really well. We've had satellite for many years, both in the valley and at the coast. The weather has never been a problem, just faulty receivers over the years. But, when we first got satellite way back....we had to keep cutting trees down in order to get a signal. It finally looked like a war zone, because we lived in a forest. So, you brought back memories which made me laugh.

Actually, it's could be less of an issue here than elsewhere. The only time I've had problem with a satellite dish is when it snowed.

Dish Network is pretty good in Cheshire except for lack of local HD

We've had satellite for years - love it! The only time we had a problem was with the snow, but then we just climbed up by the roof and knocked the snow off and we were good to go. Luckily it rarely snows around here!

after you get your dish up and running you can change your service address to a Portland eligible one and get all the networks in HD. Read some of the Sat blogs on how to move but not really move.
