Default Pics of Lincoln City?

Folks, my focus has changed from so. Oregon to Lincoln City. I haven't been able to find any pics thru the regular links - except beach-shots and a couple of traffic cams. Is there anybody in here with a couple or few LC pics to share? I would appreciate it. Also, I see there's a regular dose of crabbing, are there shrimp also - or, what is edible off the beach that you can grab on the morning or evening walks? I'm more used to southern beaches - most I've seen on northern was seagulls.

I did this just for you RockyMtnr.

I don’t know if you have seen any of these yet, but there are some coastal pictures at this link:

http://www.oregoncitylink.com/photo.htm

and here:

http://travel.webshots.com/album/410589702RpLaNI

Some of the best picture I found are here:

http://travel.yahoo.com/p-travelguid...lincoln_city-i

To see pictures of neighborhoods and home, I generally look at the multiple listings service and instead of looking at the homes look at the general area surrounding the home.

Lastly, you can Google for more pictures.

Happy to help!

Dan

I hope Clear2land provided you with enough pictures of Lincoln City because I don't have any. I have been there though. It's a place that lots of people go to for a vacation.
You can dig for clams if you want besides going fishing. Lots of crab pots and shrimp too.
You are going to like it there. There's not much snow or freezing.

Actually Dan, I was unable to turn up anything googling except a traffic cam or two and a coast cam. I took a look thru the links you sent - absolutely awesome! Thank you very much. I'm still hoping to get some town views just for reference. I think my potential destination is just across the street from the factory-outlet mall - looks like it on the aerials.
Waterlily, you wrote shrimp - my wife went yum. Now, have to wait and see if the position there flies.
Thank you both and Dan, got your pm - you must've noticed I started this new thread - I wasn't sure which way that other thread was going judging by previous posts - so, when I go off-topic, I try to cover my bases by adding something that might be on-topic - in this case, I wuz confused!

One of the problems is that people tend to take scenic shots and portraits of people in touristy areas. Many of us would like to see some broad vistas of a downtown panorama or some residential areas...not postworthy to most people, but it would be helpful for many of us.
One site that often brings up pictures that a normal search engine doesn't is picsearch. Put "Lincoln City" into the search operator and see what you get. It's hit and miss: you might find a lot of pictures that have nothing to do with LC, but it's worth a try.

STEVE - Thanks a lot. Went there - 3 pages of thumbnails - again, no real town-views but many images. They sure must be proud of their skateboard park - I see shots of that almost everywhere I look. Well, I won't be doing any of that fer sure but the pics add to the mental portfolio. Thanks again.

Lincoln City also has the BEST outlet mall!!!! We make at least one trip a year there, for a weekend to do tons of shopping. LOVE IT!!!We leave the boys at the casino, and we girls do the shopping! But, theres a few stores there even my husband will brave the crowds for. Theyre the Tanger outlet mall (I think I spelled that right)
Buy a kite when you move there too btw. They have awesome kite stores and kite festivels there.
I adore L.C.!!!

Tiffany, thanks for your input. Perhaps "you-girls" will take the wife with you when you shop (egad) - or is that primarily a solo sport? I don't do casinos - lived and worked in Nevada - all "casinoed-out" for this lifetime but I do the beach just fine if it isn't raining - and I'm really hoping to meet tolerable new friends with ocean-going boats!

Oh boy, shopping can be enjoyed in many ways and forms. hehe. Id be more than happy to take your wife along! I like new friends!!
I hate to tell you this, but it does rain quite a bit, especially along the beach. You may want to rent for awhile before looking to buy a house out here! Personally, I love it and the rain doesnt bother me at all. Theres plenty of days w/o for me, but I know it does seem extreme to some who havent lived in Oregon all their lives!
Friends w/boats eh? Well if you enjoy living along the coast, youll just have to look into getting one yourself! We had a little one (16ft) but sold it about a year ago to pay off some bills. sigh. So sorry, no boat here, much to my husbands dismay. But hey, you can rent em too! Theres an option.
I went to Las Vegas once. It was great fun, and I had a wonderful time. I really like to people watch, and you sure can get enough of that there! lol Couple of days was enough for me though. I kinda got on crowd/lights overload. Plus, back then, I smoked. And the smoke there was too much for me then!! I thnk it'd be the end of me now. lol
Oh, btw, lot of clamming along the beaches too. Many many different kinds too. I hear people go nutso over razor clams especially. Me, personally, I think its grand fun to go clamming, but i leave the eating of them to my family/friends! ugh.
Happy day to you!
Tiff

Tiffela74 - your piece was a little too long to quote but I have response.
First, where ever we move, our accomodations should be covered - we manage rentals. I just have many more places to take care of than if I owned a home.
Also, I can stand a little rain. Grew up with a dose (OH), lived in so. FL where you get the daily dose on-schedule during the "monsoon" season.
Also, Vegas either just passed or is passing a ban on public smoking. Check out the NV forum if you want info on that.
My wife is a shopper. I'm a shedder. For over 30 yrs I've fit into a medium size car with all I own including musical gear. Right now, having just moved back to WY from 17mos in OH and having left nearly everything (including a dozen suits), I fit into the front seats of my little Escort.
The boat, I need for whaling (viewing). I don't know what kind of fishies are available in the deep-blue there. Bass know me by name in several states but I don't fish here 'cause I'm not a trout type-o-guy.
While I like seafood, I'm okay with clams, wife isn't. She loves shrimp, I'll have a few with steak. Did some crabbing and lobster-diving in FL but the meat's a bit too rich for my body. Fishing is secondary to solo-hiking in serene yet sometimes powerful areas. Tell Hub I'm sorry to hear about the boat - but he already knows (I'd imagine) that he needed a 17footer anyway.
