Default want to know about schools in Philomath

Does anybody know how good or bad are the elementary schools in Philomath? After researching it, it seems llike Philomath elementary is not near as good as Corvallis schools. we're moving from OK and have a 2nd and 3rd grader starting. Is it better to drive the kids to Hoover school?
Thanks

Granted, I attended Philomath schools ages ago (20 years), so I don't have any current data. But even back then, Corvallis schools were rated better than Philomath.

That being said, we had some wonderful teachers in Philomath and like most places, you get out of it what you put in. Lots of kids went on to university, plenty of others didn't, just like anywhere else.

Unless the schools are rated unsatisfactory (which doesn't seem to be the case based on what I could find), I imagine you'll be happy with the quality of education your kids get there.

Hope that helps a bit (and maybe someone with more current information will step in! )

We have been very happy with the quality of education in the Philomath school district. Our daughter started 2nd grade at Philomath Elementary & is now entering 8th grade at Philomath middle school. The teachers and staff have been wonderful. I think you will be pleased with Philomath.
