Question Ashland

I'm thinking about going to school in Ashland . . . (also thinking about Laramie, Wy). Is Ashland a good place to find lots of outdoor rec opportunities?

I have lived in Ashland for the last 4 years and LOVE it!!! There's lots of outdoor activities, hiking, mountain biking, rivers (rafting, kayaking etc.), lakes, skiing, boarding, you name it. I didn't go to SOU, but know lots of people that have and they love the atmosphere. The only down side is that Ashland is a little expensive to live in, but since you are a student that should be a huge issue for you at this point. If you have any specific questions...just ask.
