I have 2 acres in Klamath Falls Forest Estates that I would like to begin clearing/leveling and preparing for homesite.
need:

Grader for driveway and home site leveling /packing.
Does anyone know of any locals that could help?
I am real curious as to the other neighbors that have wells...how far down, Yeild of water and the quality of the water??????????
Lot is located on Pheasant Lane...#3, cross street is Mule Deer Drive.
Thanks in advance for all replies.

You can see well logs for all of your neighbors here:
State of Oregon: Water Resources Department
(scroll down to "find a well log"). The well log will give you depth drlled, depth to water and a quick pump test info.
Groundwater generally follows terrain, but depth to water changes with the geology of whatever the aquifer is. In other words, your neighbor could have water at 300' and you could have water at 75' (or vice versa), even though you are pulling from the some aquifer or reservoir rock.
We used Norm Seavey (out of Lakeview) for our well. Almost everyone in our area does. Also Pacific Excavators, who did a great job with a tricky sloped lot.

I doubt they mean the septic has to be completely in, more likely that the property has to have a perc test first. Our septic was one of the last things in, but we bought the property with a current perc test.
I'm pretty sure Klamath County has a little pamphlet available on building in the county - try calling them at (541) 883-5121
On this page: Residential Building Plans it says, down toward the bottom:

If the building project will require a septic system please contact the Klamath County Community Development Department at 541-883-5121.

ETA: also, in another post I see that you mention the "300 days of sun" thing. While it's true that the Chamber of Commerce says that, it isn't true. More like around 220 days of full sun or partly sunny. Also we have very cold nights into spring, with frosts and/or hard freezes common - the only things I have in my garden right now are onion and potato sets, everything else is indoors being sprouted and waiting until the end of next month to go in.

What do you need to do first? I am looking to do the same thing as you and get out of Missouri A.S.A.P. Please keep us updated on your progress.

The County is being very helpful at this point - things are slow down there. We just finished up replacing the temporary railing on our loft/library with a cable rail (steel uprights and a steel and wood cap with 3/16" ss cable rails) and were able to talk directly to the inspectors and get a lot of info. We've been easily able to get same day inspections (final is coming up!).
What general part of town is your property located in?

Our property is in Bananza out on 140.

The people are evry friendly and that is a switch from this state!!
I am orig, from Iowa so that is why I hate this state.
everyone is so much in a hurry and rude. Glad I am leaving here.
another year and I can leave with out looking back
