Retired~ lookin' for a 55+ comunity in Oregon. Would prefer a gated comunity near local shopping and fast food-resterants.

We do not drive at night so would appreciate a community with in park activities~ and medical/dental facilities close~ things to do close..Would prefer to do a short term rental wth purchase later... Probably a mobile home/ rv park type thing.

Any thoughts appreciated!!

Try this link:
Oregon Housing and Community Services Manufactured Home Park Directory
In case it doesn't work: go to Oregon.gov, Then search for the Oregon Housing and Community Services Manufactured Home Park Directory. This will give you a list of the parks in the state and the bottom of the page has a link to the laws governing the parks and state landlord/tennant laws.

Some years back, I used to work at a golf course in a community called Summerfield, at Tigard, Oregon. The whole neighborhood is not all golf course membership if I recall. But it's a big 55 area. And across Hy. 99 is King City, a retirement "city". Has it's own zip code. And there are retirement manufactured housing across one road or another from these. Worth considering anyhow.

Florence was listed as the retirement place in America, what, last year? My inlaws live just outta there in DuneCity and LOVE it.
My husbands Mumu in Wilsonville, and really enjoys life there....
I agree that King City is a retirement city. We almost bought there, then found out we'd be about the only people under that age of retirement anywhere nearby!
what kind of weather and all do you prefer?
be cautious on the mobile home parks...too many people have lost everything when the developers buy em up.
