Default Oregon city?

I read in a post here - naturally I can't find it now - that Oregon City is not very inclusive. Can someone shed some more light regarding the "friendly" factor there?

As we are an interracial couple looking to move to the Portland area, OC is a consideration.

Thanks.

I worked in Oregon City several years ago and even then it seemed less-than-welcoming to people not from the area. The people I encountered were uneducated...and well, kind of reminded me of the movie "Deliverance". I'm sure there are some fantastic people there, I just wasn't fortunate enough to meet them.

As part of an inter-racial couple, I'd seek homes elsewhere. Maybe closer into Portland or maybe even into Vancouver, WA or Camas, WA. Those areas are more accepting of people, in general.

Where ever you end, good luck with your move!
