Yurt camping in November?
We are moving to the Rogue Valley next month-ish. We were thinking of "camping" in a yurt at Valley of The Rogue for about a week. We have stayed in a yurt there before in mid to late September.
Do you think it will be to cold to be enjoyable? We were going to yurt it 1: for fun but 2: to save a little money. We are lining up as many rentals as possible before we arrive and hope to finalize something within a week or 10 days of getting there.
thanks

I don't think it would be that bad at all. MIGHT be frosty in the morning, but if it's raining, it will probably be 40-45 in the morning, 50-60 later in the day. If the yurt has heat, it would be just fine.

Actually they do have heat. Also they have beds and table and chairs. Plus hot showers a few steps away. Hardly roughing it I guess, lol.

Yurts in November
My wife and I are staying on the Oregon coast in early November. We rented a Yurt for 6 nights.
I imagine it will be very cold during the evening and early morning hours. We live in Portland So its not like we are coming from sunny Florida. Think about it like this, if the Eskimos can do it in snow shelters I can do it in a Yurt.
When you build, build with Cob

As long as you will be inside your yurt - you'll be fine! The yurts are warm and cozy. They have heaters. We like to bring mattress pads for the bunks and futons, and also soft flannel sheets and nice warm blankets, too.
If you can find a deluxe yurt or cabin, they have kitchenettes and a bathroom within them which make your stay even more comfortable... but most state campgrounds also have nice hot showers, you just have to walk a few feet.

Another thing I forgot to mention... we always bring an electric hot water kettle with us. You're aren't supposed to cook inside your yurt (no pets, either) but I've never had a campground host tell us that we can't use our electric kettle. We boil water with that to do instant noodles/soups and hot tea/cider, etc. Helps keep you warm! Especially during those wet times of the year when it's a bit more difficult to get your campfire going or it's too rainy to stand outside to use your camp stove.
