Could anyone please tell me about hunting around
LaGrande? Do many people hunt in this area?
What are the basic regulations for this area?

I myself don't hunt, but that part of Oregon is well known for its hunting. The Oregon State Fish & Wildlife Dept. website will tell you just about everything you need to know:
