Salem question (house, neighborhood, zoning)

I am interested in a house on Realtor.com at 2535 Sunnyview Rd NE, across from the fairgrounds. Can anyone tell me about that neighborhood? Are the fairgrounds open only during the state fair end August, or are there other events there too? Thanks.

That area is the Northgate area. I would check the zoning of the house as it may have an industrial or commercial/retail zoning. That may be a good thing or bad thing depending on why you want the house.

The fairgrounds have events all of the time. There is the expo center on the fairgrounds area which is booked every weekend with events. The armory is nearby and the Jackman Long Building has farm/stock/animal related events as well. They keep it booked. Here is the link so you can see what is going on.
