Default animal friendly cities/counties?

Looking to relocate to OR and in need of info on which areas are animal friendly? Property definitely needs to be affordable, we are thinking an acre or 2 with decent mfg. home, under 200k, rural but proximity (say 30-40 miles max) to full service town with major shopping. Employment not a concern. We are interested in areas that do not have pet animal limits and that would allow a couple of horses on the small acreage. Animal friendly and affordable are the major concerns and friendly folks would be a plus. Some snow ok, but don't want to be housebound for days on end. We are checking out Klamath Falls and it sounds promising but would appreciate leads to some other areas that might work for us and especially on areas we should avoid with our animals. Is NE OR any good for what we want?? Thanks! Sue-z

If you will buy 2 acres there won't be a problem with animals I live in Portland and there are a lot of smaller cities within 1/2 hr that have affordable farm land.

Thanks for the info! I would never have thought to check out Portland. I've been through there once and just assumed it was all urban sprawl, I'll check out the more outlying rural areas.

Klamath Falls is good, but I think all of Southern Oregon is great. You shouldn't have any pet regulations problems as long as you stay away from the bigger cities. We are in Grants Pass, only 25 minutes to Medford -- some of the rural communities are Williams, Murphy, Applegate and Ruch. Prices on real estate have fallen a bit lately and you can definitely find a couple acres with a manufactured home under $200K. Let me know if you want a list of all available on the MLS with pictures and I can email it to you.

Question Pet boarding facility owner looking for a new home/employment

Any news out there for me? I am considering relocating to OR to escape the MT winters i have endured for 20 long yrs. I am a single mom and have a successful pet boarding business and tons of experience w/ pets. Pet boarding is 24/7 and I want to spend more time w/ my daughter who just turned 6. Long story...but looking for a place to either start a dog walking or off leash hiking business (my facility offers OLH now and I love it), or some type of pet business that does not steal my weekends and keep me working well into the night....every night!

I like the looks of SE OR even tho I have yet 2 visit. I am only starting my research so would really appreciate advice from...well anyone along these lines. Thanx!
Any advice would be sooo greatly appreciated
