Yes, we thought we were, but we found a house that we liked in Bandon better. So we are officially moving to Bandon. Sorry for the confusion

I haven't been there for a couple of years,so recent changes are unknown to me.
The core stuff; two grocery stores, two pharmacies,a small hospital,a number of restaurants with mediocre food(The Wheelhouse is good),a video rental store and a book store. You will go to Coos bay/North Bend for your main shopping.
You will get some strong wind during winter storms, and a cool north wind in the summer.
If you are a golfer they have Bandon Dunes. If you fish there is the ocean and the Coquille river.
I lived on the bluff(near ocean) so it is cooler than inland(east) Bandon. If you want a summer garden inland is best.

I am third generation Bandonian. The good aspects are the beautiful views, ocean, reasonably decent schools, festivals and the people. The bad aspects usually tend to be: Wind, wind and more wind. Colder temps year round unless you live east of town. The town can be VERY boring for teenagers. Not much to do. Bandon is relatively safe, aside from some meth issues. Job market is bleak, unless you work for the Dunes or travel to North Bend/Coos Bay area. Personally I would have picked Eastside due to the better weather and proximity to economical shopping. Sometimes when I take my Mother shopping in Bandon I am shocked people can afford to live there anymore. It's a tourist town with prices to reflect. Please feel free to write me if you have anymore questions

I think Bandon is an excellent choice, Coos Bay is not so nice.

Geez, if you're going to put a place down, it would at least be nice if you offered a basic explaination for your opinion.

heeeeyyyy... i live here in Coos Bay, and I love living here.

Bandon and Coos Bay are two very different towns. Different vibes, different majorities, different jobs, just...different. Each has their own charms and pitfalls.

That said, youve got a gem in either town, go check out Cranberry Sweets. They are up at the top of my list on why I cant lose weight. But thats okay, they also are my #1 supplier for holiday gifts!

Whens the big move?

Well, I dont' put it down. Everyone on the whole world would agree with me on this one. You walk through Bandon, it is a very beautiful place. Coos bay is just not nice, period, houses are beaten down, old, it all looks run-down, my statments make sense as a visual comparison. And I'm sure everyone who was in both places agree with me. I don't need to explain anything, my comment was accurate.
