Default Moderator-Please Create a Salem Folder

Ok, So I am new to this forum and have not figured out how to send a message to the moderator. If anyone knows can you please reply to this thread.

In case no one replies, Moderator: Please create a folder where individuals who are looking to move to Salem can post questions and concerns. Everyone keeps telling me I am posting in the wrong section, but as I look through this site I do not see any sub folder for Salem under the Oregon folder.

Thanks
C

First: I am not a moderator. But I play one on TV, so....

Looking at your previous posts, you were posting Salem-specific questions in the Eugene-specific area.

Post here, in the general Oregon forum, for Salem-specific info. Looking back through a couple of pages, it doesn't seem like there are enough Salem-specific threads to warrant a sub-forum.

I often wonder if there is as much discussion of Eugene since it got a subforum, compared to when it was just in the main Oregon forum.

I agree that Salem does not come up enough to warrant it's own forum. If you just post on the main Oregon forum, we Salemites will find your thread and respond.

Moderators at City Data are best contacted through the Direct Message system. It can accessed thrugh the link located in the upper right of your screen just below your user name. The DM system works much like a standard email program and is quite simple to use.

A list of moderators can be found in the FAQ section of About the Forum.

You can either contact the mod signed up for the area of concern or contact one of Senior Moderators Yac or markablue.

For the past while, Waterlily has graciously donated her time and efforts to moderating the Oregon forum, but she is currently bowing out of the position. A new moderator for Oregon will be listed in FAQ shortly.

With regard to Salem questions, the proper place to post them would be here in the general Oregon forum.

City Data's Administrator keeps a close eye on forum traffic numbers and creates new sub-forums as warranted. If you wish to petition for a Salem sub-forum, you're welcome to do so in About the Forum, but I seriously doubt the numbers justify a seperate sub-forum at this time.
