Question Transportation

Can anyone tell me if there is public transportation from PDX to Lincoln City or Depoe Bay. I've been searching and can find no buses or trains. I imagine for an arm and a leg I can get a taxi... I did find a train to Salem. Is that a better option. Would it be easier to find a bus or something from Salem?

TIA

I am not completely sure, but I think u can take a greyhound bus from downtown portland to the lincoln city area, and if so, u could take the light rail train from PDX to downtown Portland get off at the old town/china town stop and walk the few blocks to the bus station. If you have alot of luggage u could get off the train at Pioneer square stop and take the city bus to the bus station, its not very far, but with luggage u may not want to walk it. Hope this helps you

Default Bus to Tillamook Area

check tillamookbus.com or get on the free Chinook Winds Shuttle... It goes to the casino in Lincoln City- it says you have to be 21 and be going to the casino to use it.... Mayb let it look like you're going to the casino when getting on...

Although it's the long way, Greyhound goes from Portland to Newport. From there, there's a local shuttle to both Depot Bay & Lincoln City.

There is a Lincoln County bus system. One of the services they offer is a shuttle to Corvallis (to the medical center). Sounds like priority is given to people using the hospital, but it's available to the public on a space available basis.

That means, though, you'd need to get to Corvallis. Maybe train to Albany and taxi to Corvallis?
