Default Suggestions on where to live in or near Newport?
Hi. I'm considering a job in Newport and would like feedback on places to live. I'm looking for the best place within driving distance and preferably on the coast. I also need a place thats not too pricey. I'll be visiting soon and would like to check out any places that sound like a fit.

This all depends on yourt definition of pricey.

Also, like most areas of OR/WA the real estate agents are in collusion about pricing (grossly too hgh) and Newport is one of the worst areas for that. So don't be afraid to make a very low offer and check the banks for repos. I think you can find good bargains if you're smart and drive a hard deal.
