Talking So now I was sent here from an inbox message. Where do I move to?

My fiance and I are trying to relocate. But he has been hesitant about cold places. We want to be near water and fun. We need dog friendly, because of our two large dogs. We have a Chow Chow and a Siberian Husky. I am an artist. Fiance is a firefighter. I want farmer;s markets, independent coffee shops and city excitement. He wants quiet, kool hangout bars, and suburbs. So, what home has quiet and has space like the suburbs but everything else of the city?

I don't know just how small of an area you are looking for, but there are plenty of choices in Southern Oregon. My favorite is the Grants Pass/Rogue River area. It sounds like it could be a good fit for you, too. For a small town, Grants Pass is pretty involved in art. There are monthly art nights and plenty of other opportunities in that area. I would think you fiance wouldn't have too hard of a time finding work either.

As far as other requirements, the Rogue River runs right through town, and there are lakes within an hour or so. The coast is only 2 hours from here. We are able to live out of town with no close neighbors, but only drive 15 minutes to work, or anything else we need. I love it!

Hood River might be right for you.

Many parts of the Portland and Eugene metro areas might also be good.
