Default Where is the most beautiful camping spot in the NW?

RV camping, tent camping, doesn't matter. Generally not too crowded. I prefer the coast but am open to all interpretations of beauty. Real toilets and running water are a plus, though am willing to suffer for a neat place.

Montana's Glacier National Peace Park!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Truly touched by the hand of God! My wife and I spent a week out there and regretted ever coming back to Ohio. GNPP's air is so sweet and clean you sleep like a baby. Then we came back to Ohio and noticed the stench in the polluted air here. Oh, and real nice people out there, too.

google in Clear Lake Resort Oregon
It is one of the most stunningly beautiful places i have ever seen/been to in my life. My family camped there often when I was young, and my folks still take my kids. Its greatly unspoiled due to them only allowing "people powered" boats on the lake. It is so clear, you can look down and see 20ft below you, an entire petrified forest. Eerie, but you'll never forget it.

One of the most beautiful places I've camped in the PNW is Third Beach on the Olympic Peninsula. No facilities whatsoever, bear canister requirements, etc. but its worth it. Its only about a 1.5 mile very easy flat trail to the beach from the parking are.

Olympic National Park - Third Beach Trail - Olympic Wilderness (U.S. National Park Service)

Talking Favorite Camping

I like to camp in spots where you can get views of the river and still be able to get down to the water with no problems. Or just go camping by boat to access spots with no other people around.

Yea it's a nice state to retire in but it's tough to find work here for the average Joe. Nurses are in high demand, all jobs seem to pay lower in our neck of the woods. We call it "Poverty with a view". Here are two more pics.

Kayaking on a lake and some pictographs at the campsite right on the river.

Just don't set up camp too early A.M, or they might charge you for the night prior...did me

I avoid pay capmpgrounds for the most part. I like the no-charge, hard to get to type. The Forest Service in my area lets you camp pretty much anywhere you want to. No fees.
