Default Moving to Portland

I'm relocating to Portland by July. I'm looking for a suburb. I've liked what I've seen from West Linn and Lake Oswego.

I am looking for an (newer home) upscale neighborhood, but I am NOT interested in a cookie cutter development.

What upscale/unique neighborhoods might I look at? I've seen a few homes in West Linn with GREAT views of MT. Hood. But the neighborhood was a bit too cookie cutter for my taste.

Thnx!

Lake O will cost you...I'm not sure what your budget is but it is one of the most affluent areas in the state and the real estate market is adjusted accordingly. Good news is, if you can afford it L.O. is one of the least cookie-cutter towns in the Portland Metro. West Linn is more so.

Good luck.

For suburbs, West Linn is your best bet.
