Moving fm. Central OR. to Southern OR.
Please, can I get some more city info from any current or past residents of:
Grants Pass, Roseburg, Eagle Point or the close surroundings areas?
I grew up in The Dalles, moved to Portland in 1968, then left Oregon in 1972 not returning until 1998, living along the central Oregon Coast for 8 months of storms and rain. Moved to Bend, 1999, and we're now ready to relocate to a smaller city having seen the population double here to over 70,000 in 8 years.
Mostly desire to get away from long, cold & snowy winters but love the trees and outdoor beauty of the western part of the state.
We are retired and must have good medical facilities due to health issues.
I'd appreciate any facts anyone would be willing to share about Southern Oregon, good or bad. We plan to leave Bend before another winter.
