Astoria (Portland: movies, living, moving to)

Anyone have any stories or info to give about Astroria, Oregon? It's cool that all kinds of movies have filmed there, including Into the Wild and Overboard - two of my favs . Heck, maybe I should forget about moving to Portland or having the entertainment nearby that it has and just go into the wild and hibernate as a loner with Mike only there in Astoria? I'm torn between the two desires. What would really be nice is to go live in that cottage there by Heceta Head Lighthouse .. that's a dream to me. If I ever win or make a million bucks I'm building a lighthouse and living nextdoor in peace.

You won't be alone. Supposedly there is a ghost nicknamed Rue "The Gray Lady" who lives in the attic of the Heceta Head Light Keeper's House. (lol).
