Default What's the job market like in Coos Bay? Moving in August!

My family and I are moving at the end of July to the Coos Bay area and I am very interested in what the job market is like? We are also looking for homes for rent too- any thoughts as to where to start looking? I've looked on craigslist but what are some local sites maybe to check out for houses for rent and jobs? Thanks!

Well, I guess you'll find out. I hope you have a year's worth of income saved up to live on while you're looking for employment.

Theres a customer service center in Coos Bay. They start at 9.00hr, and it goes up from there. Most people there are making about 12-15hr. Full med/dental/vision/etc. PTO and vacation begins to accrue on date of hire. Theyre hiring now and will most likely still be hiring in July.
If you can type, have good customer service skills and can pass the drugs test you can prob. get a job there.
Look in the worldlink.com and also the southcoastshopper. They both have jobs/rentals. Also for jobs, check the Oregon Employment Page.
Theres not an abundance of jobs here,(is there anywhere???) but there are some to be found for those willing to go the extra effort, or take something youre maybe not thrilled with. Heck, Im not a college grad, but I have one full time job, another one I do on the side and they keep asking me to work more hours, and I just turned down another job last week. Im not saying there are jobs all over for anyone and everyone to be choosy, but again, its not impossible to find work.
BTW, if youre truly interested in the cust. serv. job, you can dm me and I can pass on the # for the hiring manager if you'd like.
Best of luck!

Ouch- I guess since I said I'm looking for a job that would clarify only I'm looking for a job! Harsh and assuming- yes of course I have money to live off of and my family has their own income. However- my question was how was the job market is there and ideas where to look at local sites not how will I support myself without a job- I don't think I would ask complete strangers for that kind of help! wow! I've already figured that one out- umm savings and a husband with a job already. But thank you tiffela for the info I will look into that! Much appreciated! Any other sites to look at?
