What's with these thunderstorms? (Eugene, Salem: home, area, flooding)

I've been watching this radar mosaic - it looks disordered now, but for a week plus you can see it rotating counter-clockwise from south of the frame up toward Seattle and off to sea, bringing thunderstorm after thunderstorm with occasional hail and heavy rain.

Pretty impressive, but my tomatoes and peppers are not pleased.

I'm sure they wouldn't be. About a week or a week and a half ago it rained harder than I'd ever seen it rain in my entire life. And this is in June () no less... We could use the rain in Southern Oregon, but jeez...

I love rain storms. The one's we've been having in Newberg area are nothing like the ones on the gulf coast. Not unusual there to have one every day from April-August. There though, there is thunder and lots of lightening and power outtages constantly. Not to mention the flooding. Then comes hurricane season

I usually look at the smaller scale radar out of Medford and watch the storms and thunderstorms hit the peak of the Cascades and stall out before they get to this side. Lately they just keep on coming over.

Oh my goodness. I can't even imagine dealing with that. I heard someone on C-D say that everyone in Orlando knows someone who's been struck by lightning. I think that's just insane!

I'm sure glad someone else is grumbling about this silly weather..We got impolitely woke at just after mid-night saturday morning to heavy rain and thunder, there was an inch in our rain guage saturday morning..the severe weather we had the week before was more annoying..I watched that storm come up from Sweet Home -Eugene on the radar and blow threw Salem ..I want to know where is our nice mellow summer weather.
We spent 6 months in Pensacola during the summer and those storms are for the Flordians not west coast people..The navy sent us there...this was many moons ago...

Mine too! My hubby and I were just talking about how we might not get a lot this year. The poor things are struggling...I would have kept them inside longer if I'd known we were going to have such bizarre weather...

We're not getting much rain these last few days here in Coos Bay and North Bend. It just looks like we are stuck in the clouds. Yes I'm getting tired of it. It feels warm enough today but there's lots of gloom.
I can't wait for the sunny days to come back.
